After hearing  The Bridges incredible vocal harmonies online  I drove to Nashville

to see them perform at Radio Café.  By doing so I also discovered another excellent young  rock/pop group,  Harrison Hudson, who was actually the “headliner” that night.

When Harrison & his 3 piece band took the stage I was impressed by their tight and natural  stage presence.  Defnitely a rock band with leanings toward power pop, there were moments reminiscent of “Echo & the Bunnymen.”  With their orientation toward foundational rock chords and progression, Harrison Hudson puts together a complete entertainment package.  Harrison’s rough edge rock vocals vary between   crooning & crowing within a full harmonic range.  I can see this group easily generating an enthusiastic fan-base once they gain enough exposure though live shows and people hearing their recordings.

The band was giving away a free 4 song demo, which is the disk I’m presenting to You.  In reviewing the E.P. I found it contagious and definitely radio worthy in an indie-rock/power pop vein. Most importantly the songs have an all important quality in that I never got tired of hearing  the songs even after playing it numerous times while trying to come up with a review.  Now as of Sept. 9th  Harrison Hudson has a brand new Full length CD available.  I’ll try to get a copy of the new disk into your hands soon as I get one, or You can request one through his myspace messages.

Here’s a quote from their Myspace profile:

HH is also known for encompassing the entire "east coast," bringing the gritty pop from New York, the sweet melodies of the Carolinas, and the rock from the dirty south.”

ALL tracks on this disk are totally “Radio Safe.”  My personal favorite being track #2 with track  #1 suitable for an intro song on the evening music program.  The latter two leaning more toward pop with #4 containing backup vocals by “The Bridges.”
