I’ve seen Harrison Hudson performing live two times.  Once in Nashville

at Radio Café and then I brought them to Chattanooga to open for the Bridges at Barking Legs.  His first full Length CD has also spent a considerable amount of time spinning on my player

Harrison Hudson has put together  a rock band with a tight performance and natural  stage presence.  With leanings toward power pop, there are moments reminiscent of “Echo & the Bunnymen and even the younger days of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.”  With their orientation toward foundational rock chords and progression, Harrison Hudson puts together a complete entertainment package.  His rough edge rock vocals vary between   crooning & crowing within a full harmonic range.  I can see this group easily generating an enthusiastic fan-base once they gain enough exposure though live shows and people hearing their recordings.  Most importantly the songs have an all important quality in that I never got tired of hearing  them after playing it numerous times while trying to come up with a review.

Harrison Hudson is currently finishing up his second Full length CD available.  Reported to have 10 songs on it with 4 left over for “other fun purposes” I’ll try to get a copy of the new disk into your hands soon as I get one, or You can request one through his myspace messages. The CD I’m leaving You with is Angel On the One Side, The Other on the Other.” There are 15 songs on thes disk , all are radio friendy.

With my favorite song being “No Matter” You can pretty much find something very good anywhere on the disk with the latter 2/3’s becoming less pop and more rock operatic.

Here’s a quote from their Myspace profile:

HH is also known for encompassing the entire "east coast," bringing the gritty pop from New York, the sweet melodies of the Carolinas, and the rock from the dirty south.”

ALL tracks on this disk are totally “Radio Safe with track  #1 suitable for an intro song on the evening music program.  The earlier tracks  leaning more toward pop with #4 containing backup vocals by “The Bridges.

Most recommended for radio but You may find others suiting your personal taste.
