Ana Lola Roman

Does Ana Lola Roman’s music have the primal energy and solid beats to move an audience to gyrating mindlessly that needs to accompany any intellectual pursuit of a musical art form?  Yes it does.  Is it danceable? Yes.  Is it a dance band?  No it is not.   Does it Rock?  Sometimes.  Is it ethereal and psychedelic?  Yes but not in any kind of pre-experienced fashion.  Is it fun? Yeah it’s loads of fun and the recordings, (sometimes compared to Kate Bush and Public Image Limited..) threaten an even more remarkably weird experience live, which is why listening to Ana Lola Roman’s songs for nearly two years has brought us to putting together this series of concerts so that some of us can experience the “movement” for ourselves, firsthand and with a total element of surprise inherently built in.

The Unsatisfied

           Underground icons in the punk/glam and gothic scenes for many years, the Unsatisfied began to enjoy wide U.S. and European distribution with their third full-length album, “The Way To The Crumbs” on Antidote Records, which was released November 2006. The Unsatisfied are one of those genuine rarities of raw rock and roll, live band energy, precision, and dangerous punk rock.  “Once you’ve seen them live you’ll know why any musician can appreciate and respect what they represent— an amalgam of Iggy Pop, the Rolling Stones, Prince, and the Cramps.         Strange, twisted, yet intelligent songs, and Eric Scealf the leader, is almost over the top when on stage.  Get a taste of what the band is capable of, and it makes your hair stand on end.  No audience ever forgets a show by The Unsatisfied. Be prepared for loud, high energy rock ‘n roll ecstasy.
