Seated events: 106 fixed seats with additional bench and floor seating for overflow crowds. Appx. 137 overflow crowd max. with full stage area setup for multiple instrumental bands. Larger numbers have been accommodated for solo acts where part of the stage was used for seating.
165 for events where main stage is used as dance floor.
House & Sound System
Advanced sound system:2014 model 32 channel Behringer X-32 digital console with 4 separate mix floor monitors; OR an 8 channel Mackie 808S with 2 JBL floor monitors (same as main mix.) Subwoofers, full stage lighting. Shure sm 58’s & sm57’s & condenser mic., mic stands. A Baby Grand piano available in house. The large stage doubles as dance-performance floor. Please provide us with your stage plot or requirements in advance. Backstage lounge & Refrigerator, private bathroom. Conspicuously located counter space for artists’ merchandise.
Performance Offers and Payout
All ArtFRONT Presentations shows come with full publicity to local and regional print & broadcast media. Exceptional shows may also receive additional national and even international press from the ArtFRONT.com writeups and our MySecretIdentity.org artists’ booking and publicist agency. This arrangement covers all expenses related to theater rental, sound tech etc. Our Payout is as follows:
Payout is 80% of total door from admissions, minus production expenses. The 80% total is divided between each act. Percentages of division will be determined at time of show confirmation. The split will be contracted based on travel distances, number of performers per act and projected percentage of draw. Our full house attendance maximum production expenses are capped at $380. for the 32 channel sound system & tech and at $325. for the 8 channel system & tech. Expenses can be less than our maximum depending on artists requirements, promotional expenses and attendance numbers of each show. There is a sliding rental scale reduction to offset expenses of lower turnout events. (See “Possible Expense Deductions” on the online spreadsheet for detailed information.)
Artists retain 100% of their merchandise sales. Beverages, including beer, water, soft drinks are provided to artists and their crew backstage.

Top payouts after all expenses for an ArtFRONT Presentations event at Barking Legs Theater to date was $1540.80 total to all artists (1240.80 to headliner $300. to opener) for one show with 137 in attendance @ $15 advance & $18. DOS and $1,426.00 total to all artists for one show in Nov. 2011 with 106 in attendance @ $20. admission. Additionally there have been sold out shows at Barking Legs Theater sponsored by other promoters and the theater’s owner. Some past sold out performers include Andrew Byrd, Noam Pikelny, and many others. A good history of the ArtFRONT Presentations shows is our Archive of Printable concert Posters & Flyers. We generally create one poster design for each show as part of our promotion unless the artists provide all their own.
